The current existential crisis
According to a 2016 study by World Bank, India is the world’s highest waste-generating nation and produces 277.1 million tonnes of solid waste every year, which is likely to touch 387.8 million tonnes in 2030. In India, 77% of waste is disposed of in open dumps while only 18% is composted and just 5% is recycled. We aim to divert millions of tonnes of valuable resources from landfills and waterways by revolutionizing recycling and composting.
“ Everything can and should be recycled, it’s just a matter of economics.”

What is our mission?
We aim to create an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources: a circular economy. This regenerative approach is in contrast to the traditional linear economy, which has a “take-make-dispose” model of production. With the help of the informal sector, we will provide end-to-end decentralized waste management services based on the principles of a circular economy for everyday people.
Integrate informal collectors into the formal waste management system
We wish to integrate the informal waste collectors into the purview of municipal/formal waste-management systems which will raise the quality of life of the collectors, bridge the gap between the formal and informal sectors of the waste management ecosystem and bring more cost-effective and efficient waste management solutions to everyday people.
Promote environmental awareness
To help people understand how their decisions and actions affect the environment, build knowledge and skills necessary to address complex environmental issues, as well as ways we can take action to keep our environment healthy and sustainable for the future.
Help people offset their carbon footprint
We will help offset people’s carbon footprint with eco-friendly practices by providing safe disposal of waste collected to ensure a clean environment & sustainable living.
Change India's social behavior
We also aim to bridge the gap in the waste management ecosystem by bringing the sellers & buyers of waste on one platform where everyday people can sell their recyclable wastes and biodegradables and help contribute to the circular economy while bringing behavioral changes in society.
What we do?
We aim to start at the root level by helping recyclers, waste generators, and kabariwaalas by making waste segregation and collection systems more time and cost-efficient by integrating technology, via an app and website.
The app will allow users to book a pickup or find a drop point for their waste. It will also have tutorials to help users segregate waste and reward systems to incentivize users to recycle and compost.
We will also be collaborating with companies to design products that are more eco-friendly and easily recyclable and will provide waste management solutions for them. When the company scales up, we aim to set up our own recycling and industrial composting facilities.
Under the project, we will conduct community workshops and programs on waste management and segregation in localities, schools, colleges, offices, and other centers.
